Canada's HUman Geography
Some things that especially stick out in Canada's Physical geography are for example Clayoquot Sound where the long years have allowed said trees to grow to such heights. Another thing is Canada's land form regions there are 7 total land form regions: The Canadian Shield, The Interior Plains, The Western Cordillera, Innuitian Mountains, Hudson Bay/Arctic Lowlands, Appalachian Mountains and the Great Lakes & St. Lawrence Lowlands.
The Canadian Sheild
The Canadian shield covers more than half of Canada and is know to have very poor drainage is approximate 4 800 000 square kilometers of area and some parts are as old as 3.96 billion years, most of the land is made of igneous or metamorphic rock, this land form also contains many precious ores as well as diamonds which have been affected by human geography due to mining operations and this land form region was mad during the Precambrian period.

The Interior Plains
This land form region used to be covered in a shallow sea where is had a more tropical climate back then allowing it the some vegetation to grow which has now turned into coal deposits and oil reserves. The soil has become more fertile due to the natural deterioration of old plants as well as the seas that were there. Due to the past shallow seas the area has gotten a "rolling hills" type of landscape.

The Western Cordillera
The western cordillera is a land form region consisting of mountain ranges that are separated by plateaus and foothills. The surrounding is also subject to quite a bit of volcanic activity as well due to it's location near the pacific plate it is also prone to possible flooding due to the glaciers that may melt in small coastal valley rivers

Innuitian Mountains
Hudson bay/Arctic Lowlands
This specific land form region is an area made up of 2 land form regions The Hudson Bay Lowlands are full of swampy forests and Marches and is made up of sedimentary rock and was covered by ice during the last ice age. The arctic lowlands on the other hand is a harsher much colder landscape that is terrible for farming and contains coal, gas and natural gas as well as ground that stays frozen all year round
|
Appalachian Mountains
Great Lakes & St. Lawrence Lowlands
This re regions is made up of 2 different regions as well though they are only different because they are separated by the Canadian Shield this land form is made up of sedimentary rocks from the Paleozoic era which you can see in some areas for example the Niagara Escarpment. One big difference however is that the Great Lakes lowlands have basins like areas for water in it's landscape due to glaciers
